Options & Itinerary

Hotel Quinta do Lago’s 2019 Amateur Golf Challenge will take place between the 26th of October and the 2nd of November, introducing a new format of participation in what has long been our golfing highlight.

This year's selection of golf courses will include, as always, our guests favourite Quinta do Lago Courses (North, South and Laranjal), as well as Monte Rei and Vilamoura Old Course for the pre-Challenge days.

The 2019 Hotel Quinta do Lago Amateur Golf Challenge champion will be the player with the best score over the two rounds of the official Challenge, alongside with a special award for the player with the best Stableford Gross Score.

Participants will now be able to participate only in the Individual Stableford Competition, which will take place over the last two days, with an offcial Practice Round taking place on Thursday, the 30th of October, or also join us for the pre-challenge days, which retain the much appreciated social gathering character of this special competition, with a Fourball Team Medal Texas Scramble, a Three Clubs and a Putter, a longest drive and a nearest the pin competition to warm up the week

Pre Challenge

SATURDAY: Transfer from Faro’s Airport to the hotel in a private chaufeured luxury vehicle and reception cocktail party

SUNDAY: Fourball Team Medal Texas Scramble at Vilamoura Old Course

MONDAY: “Three Clubs and a Putter” competition at Monte Rei with shared buggy Dinatoire Cocktail

Challenge

TUESDAY: Transfer from Faro’s Airport to the hotel in a private chauffeured luxury vehicle, registration for the tournament, reception cocktail and dinner at Brisa do Mar

WEDNESDAY: Practice Round: Quinta do Lago South

THURSDAY: First Single Stableford tournament round: Quinta do Lago Laranjal

FRIDAY: Second and fnal Single Stableford tournament round: Quinta do Lago North, with champagne cocktail on the 18th hole. Cocktail & Gala Dinner with prize-giving presentation (dress code: dark elegant)

SATURDAY: Transfer to Faro’s airport in a private chaufeured luxury vehicle

Non-Golfers: to enhance the stay of non.-golfer, when sharing a room with a golfer, the equivalent number of golf rounds can be used for spa massages and treatments.
