We love when people who book through Cassidy Travel enjoy their trip! So when Sinéad De Blogger wrote about her city break to Prague we had to share it.

Prague, please!

Sinéad De Blogger is an Irish style blogger who writes about fashion, style, makeup & beauty and travel too! She booked a mini-break to romantic Prague for 2 nights with Cassidy Travel and she shared her experience on her website.

You can visit her site here. And don’t forget to follow her Instagram!

Sinéad travelled with Ryanair, and the cold came as a bit of a shock:

To start with Prague is FREEZING this time of the year! When we landed the whole city and surroundings was covered in a blanket of snow. However, they are obviously well used to this each year as all the roads and footpaths were cleared of all snow.

Temperatures ranged during the day from -4 to -1 (being the warmest), however there was lots of sunshine so this helped!

She stayed in 5-star La Ballerina Hotel. While it’s not smack bang in the city centre, the rooms and service meant it was still a great place to stay:

It’s about a 30 minute walk to Prague Castle and about 20 minute walk from the Old Square. Bedrooms here however are huge and interior is really fab so this makes up for it being a little further out! Staff were pleasant and there is a restaurant below the hotel where you can get the most amazing pizzas for the equivalent of €10. They have lots of nice little extras in the room including a mini-bar robes and slippers!

She saw the main sights including the scenic Charles Bridge with its Old Town Bridge Tower:

Charles Bridge is a pedestrian bridge located in the centre of Prague. Each day it was full of tourists, again it’s another beautiful spot to take in views of the city and Prague Castle.

We decided to climb the Old Town Tower Bridge, though I am not the best with heights… However once up, it is worth it.

Prague Castle and the Old Town Square were highlights:

Prague Castle is a must – however be warned and be ready for lots of steps so bring comfy shoes! Here you will walk the grounds of the castle, the Basilica sv. Jiri this is SUCH a stunning building), and some of the old style houses (some with original furniture) occupied by castle shooters and goldsmiths.

On the opposite side of the city to Prague Castle is the old town square. Here if you like, is the buzz of the city. This square has numerous beautiful lane ways, shops and restaurants. Here you can sit and watch the world go by.

Sinéad’s Tips:

Prague Castle has multiple options for tours – Sinéad recommends the Option B as it lets you wander around at your own pace for 250 czk crowns.

Foodwise, Sinéad recommends trying a ‘trdelnik’- a donut-style cone topped with a dollop of ice cream. Sounds delish!

Sinéad also saved on her trip by booking a flight mid-week. Flying on less in-demand days is a great way to save on any trip!

Don’t forget to check out Sinéad’s whole post here for more info about her trip!
