We love nothing more than to hear back from our happy customers! Our travel expert Amber planned a trip to Rome for Alan and Rita who got back to tell us how much they enjoyed this trip. The team at Cassidy Travel is genuinely chuffed to get positive feedback as our customers mean everything to us.

Here’s what they had to say!

We had a lovely time in Rome, the weather and hotel were great. It only rained on one day of our trip, and since there weren’t many tourists around we walked everywhere and got to see all the sights. It felt like we had the place to ourselves! The food was lovely in all the little restaurants we discovered off the beaten track.

The Hotel Colosseum was lovely and quiet. The housekeeping was spot on, the breakfast was grand and plentiful. All the staff were very friendly and welcoming and we told them this while we were there. The hotel was just a ten-minute stroll from the centre of all the old Roman sites.

We will definitely go back again to the same hotel with our family next time.

I just want to say thank you to you for all you did for me and Rita to make sure our trip to Rome was so memorable!

Cassidy Travel’s favourite sights in Rome:

Rome is truly the Eternal City, filled with so many ancient icons it’s hard to know where to start. Here’s a few of our faves:

The Roman Forum and Colosseum

These top ancient sights are near each other and often bundled together into entry tickets or guided tours. It’s like stepping back 1000s of years into the Roman past and truly awe-inspiring.

The Vatican

Another obvious pick! You simply can’t visit Rome without stopping by Vatican City and witnessing the majesty of St. Peter’s Basilica – if you manage the walk up the winding stairs, there’s a fantastic view of Rome at the top of the Basilica. Lay your eyes upon Michelangelo’s Pieta, and see the Sistine Chapel too. If you want to do it all in one go, make sure you head over early as it takes time to take in all the wonders of this stunning place, and entry to Sistine Chapel closes in the afternoon. Plan ahead to see it all, or spread it out  over a couple of days.

Trevi Fountain

Visiting Trevi Fountain is practically a requirement on a visit to Rome, this famous fountain has been immortalised in countless movies and Instagram snaps!

Trastavere

This Roman neighbourhood is a charming network of cobblestone lanes filled with cafes, restaurants, unique boutiques and laid-back Mediterranean vibes. It’s just perfect for strolling around, and at night it truly comes alive.
